Story has it Disney secretly began creating companies anagrammed with his name to purchase land around Disney. His management team would purchase a little land here and there, finally acquiring all the land needed to build his second theme park. Since it’s opening in 1971, Disney World has flourished as one of top vacation destinations in the world. Sea World and Universal studios among others have opened their doors to the public, having something available for all ages. Don’t forget to check out Gator land, but if you golf you are almost sure to see them in the “wild” on a warm day.

The Orange County Convention Complex expanded in 2004 houses over 2 Million Sq/ft of exhibition state in the United States. In Orlando, it is almost impossible to have a hotel without a convention being present. Except for a few times a year, there is always something in town. Orlando has the 2nd most hotels in the nation, following only Las Vegas, Nevada. Resorts such as the JW Marriot, Peabody, and the Ritz-Carlton have attached challenging golf courses for the corporate “team building” outing. If you need a class, head over to Champions Gate and visit with David Leadbetter. If golf is a passion, join and tea off in Windermere’s Private Isleworth Country Club or Lake Nona’s Tavistock. Bay Hill Club and Lodge is host to Arnold Palmers yearly PGA tour Invitational.

Perhaps surprising to some, Orlando is a central location for HI-Tech industry. Lockheed Martin has a large manufacturing location. Siemens, USAF facilities, United States Armed Research, NASA is close by of the cape. Orlando actually has the 7th largest research park home to over 120 Companies, Central Florida Research Park. Orlando contains Mitsubishi Motors, Delta Connection Academy, and many more. Orlando International Airport is a major hub for Jet Blue and Southwest, as well as offers international flights to British Airways among others.

And of course the Citrus! Driving down? Be sure to stop at one of the many Citrus Grove stands for some free Orange Juice and grab a bushel of fruit. Always delicious! Don’t shy away the grapefruit, minneolas, and tangelos. If looking to pass through on the Original route to the Keys stop by Citrus Tower in Lake County.

Entertainment has its place in Florida, with before mentions Walt Disney World and theme parks. EA sports is also here. Electronic Arts (EA SPORTS) yearly has test subjects for their beta popular game Madden NFL. Getting paid to play video games, what a life. US Modeling, Simulation, and Training is centered around Orlando has well (MS&T). On occasion Universal Studios has tapings in their sound stages, as well as live shows in Universal Studios.

Orlando is also home to University of Central Florida, Orlando Magic, and hosts a number of MLB Spring training including the Atlanta Braves. Climate year long is humid subtropical climate, so in the spring catch an inexpensive pre-season game at Disney’s’ World of Sports with hot dog during Orlando’s ideal spring temperatures.
